The First Time is the Best Time
So I got my new Redline like a little over a week ago and…yeah…it’s pretty freaking amazing. So just a general history on the bike for all-you-alls who don’t know my situation with it.
About 3 years ago I borrowed a Karate Monkey from Pete Basinger. Took the puppy out riding and was immeadiatly in love with the single speed 29er design. (Basically 29 inch wheels instead of 26s, and one speed instead of however many people are putting on these days.) But money was tight being 16 so it wasn’t a viable option to go and buy one. So instead I took my trusty old 2003 Raleigh M80 and converted it to a 26 single speed. It was pretty tight and all, but it just lacked that feel of the 29er wheel.
For the next few years I struggled through life feeling insignificant and small on my tiny wheels. At the same time however I got pretty good at riding single speed. It was way happy and all, so I decided to take a leap of faith and buy a…Fixie. Yes a bold and daring move on my part, kind of stupid but it was fun.
Ok well I need to leave but umm so a long story short I had my first biff this morning and it was really cool, and I love my new bike and I hope to have many a great adventure with it and hope we can have a long and happy life together. So anyone still on a 26 you need to get off of it and get on the bigger wheels, you won’t regret it!
Sweet peace out ya’lls!
